Accessibility

The whole site works without the animation.

This is a statement of what we built and tested, not a statement of intent.

Target

WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Where we fall short of it, we would rather hear about it than have you work around it.

Motion carries no information. Everything the animated background expresses is also stated in text. Turn it off and nothing is lost.
Reduced motion is a complete experience. If your system requests reduced motion, scroll-linked scenes resolve to their finished composition instead of animating. It is a different art direction, not a stripped-down one.
Full keyboard operation. Every control is reachable and operable with a keyboard, focus is always visible, focus order follows the page, and there are no keyboard traps. The revenue cycle uses arrow keys; the menu closes with Escape and returns focus where it was.
Skip to content is the first thing in the tab order on every page.
Multi-step progress is announced. The Blueprint announces which question you are on, and results are announced when they change.
Nothing is communicated by colour alone. Every figure’s provenance is shown as text and a symbol, not just a colour.
Zoom and text resizing work to 200% and beyond without loss of content or function. Pinch-zoom is never disabled.
Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
Browser history works in the Blueprint, so Back does what you expect.

The decorative background is a canvas. It is hidden from assistive technology entirely, which is correct, but it does mean it cannot be described — by design, because there is nothing in it to describe that is not already written on the page.
The site has not yet been tested with a screen reader by someone who uses one daily. Automated checks and manual keyboard testing are not a substitute for that, and it is an outstanding task before launch.
